The Sydney Morning Herald "Business Day", p.4 top of page quotes BHP from its latest briefing paper as "spruiking the positive outlook for copper" which it believes will enjoy strong demand growth in the years ahead.
Some writers had been quoting BHP as taking a more cautious view of copper after BHP's deferral of the expansion production at Olympic Dam.
It looks to me as though BHP is cautious of any large expenditures in Australia at the moment after the Labor Party's efforts to exploit mining. Conix
