That 60 call action you noted could just be part of a spread strategy of some type, not actually indicative of faith that the stock price will reach that level in the lifetime of the option.
However, being a BHP holder starting from somewhere in the low 8 range with additional topping up of my position on recent pullbacks, I am quite happy to see a nice surge today and hope it will follow through to the 60's and possibly more over time.
