Why would BHP be interested?
- Ownership of port
- Best growth profile of the OZ thermal coal producers plus top tier asset grade.
- Most commodity analysts are talking o/wieght coal and unerweight non-ferrous metals
- Chairman has shown that he can hold the interest of BHP with his strategic relationship he built via WEC
- Funadamentals strong - Cash/debt 2x, 09PE of 2.5x, strong free cash flow (yielding 8.5%)
It may not happen overnight, but it could happen.
Its the most likely of the coal producers IMHO.
