Yes I understand all that ….I’m talking about the way they’ve gone about it to date…the bids have escalated so quickly ….and once put out into the market they set a new bar. If they ‘win’ BHP are potentially paying massively over the odds.…..and this news only further raises concerns :
“May 25 (Reuters) - Anglo American AAL.L was pressed by key shareholders including BlackRock BLK.N to extend talks with BHP Group (BHP) over its proposed 38.6 billion pound ($49.18 billion) mining megamerger, the Financial Times reported on Saturday”
In other words Blackstone have got on the phone to the Anglo chair and saidude - what the F are you doing ?? We’ve got these Aussie suckers throwing insane once in a lifetime bids at us and you’re going to let them walk??
