Duplication of costs, and access to LARGER capital markets without forex risk of AUD, ARE reasons for moving to London. However, as you say, lifestyle and relatively cheap costs will, IMO, be good enough reasons for not budging. On top of which, 35% of their earnings come from IO, mostly in WA, which means they need reasonable time proximity to manage day to day. IMO, what they really SHOULD do is move their Melbourne HQ to join their global operational HQ in Perth....
