As I understand it, and I am very happy to be corrected, the merger of Ltd and Plc is not a done deal until both UK and Aus seperately approve that, and again I could easily be wrong, but I understand that if Ltd and Plc do not merge, then the 'merged' BHP company deal with WPL will not go ahead.
