    Fair enough - I hear you.....and I’m actually a bit more of a ‘green sympathisiser’ than would have come across in my rant.

    But what really annoys me is where board level decisions have enormous consequences on a share price (BHP have a sorry history of it) and yet when it comes to exec pay and bonuses they’ll expect to have it all ticked off as if nothing has happened.

    If the BHP board and management decide to head down this ESG path and turn BHP into a smaller less profitable company for the foreseeable future they should have plenty of skin in that decision. ie If BHP shareholders take a 40% haircut this next financial year so should the teflon suits in Collins St !
