BHP WTF

I need to get a few WTF’s off my chest

All time highs last week in anticipation of mega profits and cashflows and dividends .....all of which is delivered ......by the end of today shares could be nearly 20% down on those highs.......WTF

This whole dual listing thing - who knew about the dangers of that ? - who knew abandoning it would be like a trap door for the Aussie listed shares ? ...... WTF

Upon release of results .....In the space of 24 hours ....Up in London 10% at one point then later on down 10 % at one point on Wall Street.....WTF

(There has to be some ‘in the know’ people who made squillions out of all that ! )

So BHP kind of offloads oil for potash to appease the greenies - the greenies applaud it but the hard nosed finance types/market movers think it’s a dumb move offloading a cash cow that provides diversification and dump the stock ......WTF

A deal announced to offload BHPP to WPL - oh well I hold them too so even if it’s a bad deal for one of them - it’s a good deal for the other - can’t really lose.....apparently I can ...apparently it’s a stupid and bad deal for both because both sp’s have been spanked......WTF

While all this is going on the Taliban take over Afghanistan, COVID gets going again everywhere and iron ore and oil prices start falling off a cliff.....WTF

I feel better now.
