I don't think there is a correlation between the colour of a government and the price if BHP. Government-regulated enterprises like gambling maybe.
BHP is a global enterprise relying on global events far outside the scope of the Australian Government.
You're probably thinking of mining tax. I've lost track of the number of charts I posted back then showing absolutely no correlation between price and tax.
This chart only goes back a few years.
