Cabe - I believe Galaxy Resources pre-ASX (ie late 90's and early 00's) had a fair chunk of ground near Ravensthorpe with the pyrite beds in them and did a bit of exploration on them for sulphur. It would have made sense then to market the sulphur (and iron credits) to BHPB whilst Ravensthorpe Nickel Plant was being planned & designed, rather than now where it is largely operational.
With the cost over-runs that RNO has had, I doubt that they will spend more $ researching a way to convert TKL's rocks to sulphur for the plant. Although the economics may be cheaper (particularly with transport) I don't think BHPB would want to deal with aspiring juniors knocking on the door, Ravensthorpe connection or not.
