If we accept foreign companies won't pay tax on their profit before tax, seems crazy to increase taxes on the remaining few that still pay. A solution would be raise the tax on top lines (GST, royalties and/or levies) and lower then on bottom lines. Harder to dodge top line. But we keep getting told this is too hard to do politically.
As for lefties, they just want the worst for the country. Let them try and kill off our remaining corporate and individual tax payers by asking them for more. (The best example of a lefty state is Illinois. They've just lost headquarters for a plane company, a mining company and a hedge fund company in recent weeks. Something to do with high taxes and/or high crime.) The lefties are also an inconsistent bunch: they keep flying around the world tell others to use less fossil fuels. If only they were only allowed to use renewables... that would at least stop them flying around the world.
