Rohan Gillespie – Managing Director
Rohan has 25 years experience in the resources sector, from engineering and project management through to business development and corporate development. He built BHP Billiton’s CBM business from inception to $150m value in 3 years. With Renewable Energy Corp, he played an instrumental role in corporate and market development for a biomass gasification energy solution. With Ceramic Fuel Cells he raised venture capital and developed a market entry strategy for a 40kW energy product .
With Commonwealth Bank, he played an integral role in deal teams for deals in excess of $1.2billion over two years, across corporate, project and structure finance products. With BHP, he conceived and progressed a world scale $400m methanol project through to Board approval stage. This included securing gas supply, international JV partners and technology licensors. With Brett Cooper, he played an integral role in developing a build-own-operate multi-storey car parking business, based on use of innovative steel design and financing techniques. The business is now worth $160m.
