Sumitomo of Japan is considering a US$3 billion joint venture with Bhushan in a new steel mill in India, to commence production in 2015.
There has been collaboration between them since the late 1990s on a new blast furnace to go into production in 2010.
So it seems Bhushan is likely to have a healthy appetite for coking coal for the foreseeable future.
