Everything is miraculous. From the structure of an atom which is still defying the best minds to unlock its many secrets, electrons being in two places at once, life, the air we breath, love, etc.
However, in a universe which is no-other than countless miracles built upon other countless miracles, we have been given the intelligence and understanding to bit by bit unlock the secrets of nature. The tools provided by the Creator for this task are science and religion. Every grain of knowledge we extract from nature is honouring the covenant struck with God.
When religion contradicts science, when it is obvious that science has provided the answer, it is no longer religion but rather archaic dogma, or the very opposite of religion.
Why is it so hard to understand that science is on your side?
Everything that discovers truth about the Creator is on your side. Do you honestly believe if Christ appeared in the clouds tomorrow he would address His audience in the dictum of 2,000 odd years ago?
He would be ahead of the present scientific community in understanding. All the present day Christian doctrines would be dumped because they are hundreds of years out of date and grossly misguided. Best intentions and blind faith, a religion does not make.
Parishioners move like jellyfish with the tide. They hold to doctrines that get destroyed by knowledge and then come up with illogical reasons as to why they made fools of themselves.
Earth centre of the universe. Sun revolving around the earth. Mark of Cain - Mormons explaining away black people. Multiple return of Christ dates, especially JW and Seventh day. Aztecs being the 12th tribe of Israel - Mormons caught-out by DNA People living in 1914 will see the end of days - JW How is it possible that these religions still exist after being so discredited?
This list could go on for pages. There are countless religious teachings that still prevail. They have been disproved but people hold to them like caring for sacred museum pieces.
I agree with you, the Creator is unknowable, an impossible notion. Everything is miraculous, but by the grace of God, light has been shone on certain knowledge and to deny it is to embrace a lessor understanding of the truth.
