I had a cap which snapped off again after I bit into a steak. The dentist drilled 2 tiny holes into the tooth, inserted 2 tiny metallic pins (reinforcement) then put the cap back on. While the drilling was not a lot of fun, the cap hasn't snapped for over 30 years. Not sure if dentists still do this as their methods frequently change, but geez, you're going to have to be very careful not to break it again let alone swallow it.
