The God and Father Yehowah green and Jesus yellow;
Mal 3:1 - Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saithYehowah (Inter) of hosts.
From the above quote with the incorrect addition of Lord for Yehowah, I would have to say that I'm dumfounded with your following quote;
"I can see why you have trouble seeing that it is Jesus that is the one that John testified about in spite of the verses quoted that it is."
What are you Not seeing in Mal, along with the Isa following?
John the Baptist quotes from;
Isa 40:3 - The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yehowah (Inter), make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Jesus -> John 17:3 This now is the eternal life that they should know You (Father) the Only True God and whom you have sent, Jesus Christ.
As well as John teaching about Yehowah, who and what was and what his word means and brings, OT carry over, he was also referencing the Jesus to come, which is also part of preparing the way for Yehowah = God and Father BECAUSE;
John 3:16, 17 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(Sent is after his Baptism, John 17:18 = one example of the sent or sending context into the world).
Jesus -> John 17:3 This now is the eternal life that they should know You (Father) the Only True God and whom you have sent, Jesus Christ.
(Jesus clearly here defines the Father as the only true God, independently of himself, when he was here, hence the God referenced in the Isa 40:3, is not referencing Jesus, it is Yehowah.
After the cross, exalted and glorified and ruling for the Father until death no more, he is now a Begotten God = confirming Jesus's words, that he was not a God when here = John 1:18 Inter).
"The versed from the OT that you quoted depeicted the one that John was testifying about as God and you don't believe that Jesus is God.
For those who believe that according to the Bible that Jesus is God these verses give us no trouble but rather supports this belief.."
Not "the" verse but two, the whole story and the God ref in Isa = the God and Father - Yehowah.
I can only assume, either yours or others confusion comes from the misuse and abuse of removing God's name and replacing it with LORD?
His name also should have been carried over into the NT, as many haven't got a clue as to which Lord is being referenced at times, Father or Son.
Even with your version of Mal 3:1, it is clear that the way being prepared is for the LORD Almighty, which is clearly shown to not be the Lord that would suddenly come to the Temple.
(Note = "his" Temple you have = "his" is simply Not in the Interlinear = has to be "The" Temple to which Jesus refers to as his Fathers house, not that this really matters, but I like truths).
-----------
"For those who believe that according to the Bible that Jesus is God these verses give us no trouble but rather supports this belief.."
Only if you make the mistake, to which I say you have made and maybe, the "Lord" matter hasn't helped this?
