    @whereu

    OH dear, unbelievable.

"All you are doing is repeating"

Naturally I am, as I'm repeating what is clearly written, not like you.
You're taking away the key message of what the belief is in and what the blessing is actually for = absolutely astounding and from a Biblical perspective for an answer to this strangeness, 2 Thes 2:10, 11 has to be in play.

"Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.
"Believe what?" = The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

WHAT PART OF THAT IS FLYING BY THE NEST ?????????????? rolleyes.png

Where was he before they saw him = in the tomb, hence now Thomas believes they saw him and he rose from the dead, no more and know less, on the believing matter BECAUSE this is what the scriptures tell us.
It's so clear and obvious, that it goes without saying.
    ---------
" 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Confirmed by Jesus and denied by @wotsup"

This is all that was confirmed by Jesus to Thomas = Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed:
Then Jesus gave a message, concerning others, which in turn down plays of lowers Thomas's faith pre his findings, compared to the others.
They wont be seeing and feeling like Thomas = greater faith.

    --------------
    "blessed are those who
have not seen and yet have believed.

Believed what -> We have seen the Lord. -> and Thomas -> Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

What Thomas obviously was not believing = that Jesus rose from the dead DRRRRRRRRRRR.
This is EXACTLY what others would be blessed for, for believing without seeing and having all the benefits Thomas had of touching etc, but believing that Jesus rose from the dead.
    -----
" In Biblical terms rising from the dead was by no means unknown so Thomas's claim confirmed by Jesus was even more profound and deserving of a blessing."

Surely you're trying to pull my leg and trying to be funny??????????????????
"Unknown to Thomas", where are you getting that crazy notion from, the others told Thomas they has seen Jesus, and the scriptures clearly show that Thomas was pretty much not having a bar of it, unless his stipulation was met, so you're talking crap here, trying to force your delusions in.
Well, they simply will NOT cut it.

Again, the only thing that Jesus confirmed from Thomas in the obvious from the passage, that Thomas now believed that Jesus rose from the dead, because Jesus said you now believe BECAUSE you have SEEN me.
Goodness me, open your eyes and use what you have up stairs LOL.
    -----------
"John 14:10... etc are verses that demonstrate the closeness of Jesus and his Father and do not contract Thomas's statement, My Lord and My God, which was confirmed by Jesus but denied by @wotsup."

No one in denying the closeness, that's your imaginations coming into play a second time.
No one said it contracts Thomas's statement, it tells your LOUD and CLEAR as to what Thomas is drawing from with his words, my God = referring to the God dwelling in Jesus, just as Jesus told him TWICE in 14:10.
    LIGHTS ON.
    ---------------

"Thomas saw Jesus as his Lord and his God as a blessing."

That is totally ADDING what is in no way there.

"I suppose that as the "expert" at adding to scripture, I should agree with you."

Obviously you can't put your money where your mouth is, so to speak and back this with the verses, otherwise you would have jumped at the opportunity.
Rest my case, my comments run true.
    ----------------
"I'm now sick of reading your repeated delusions, so please don't waste our time with more repeats."

Truth never changes, so naturally it will be repeated, not like your creations that become like an elastic band, stretching all over the place, changing like the wind and making zero sense of the actual words and KEY theme of the verses.
Face the facts and TRUTH, you cannot refute the points I covered WITH the Bible, hence the creations you kept coming up with and ADDING.
