I will rephrase:
I said:
"Even modern science admits that if all the ice melted, the land would be underwater."
Let me correct and clarify that:
Modern science does not say that all land would be underwater—but it does confirm that if all the ice on earth melted (Antarctica, Greenland, and all mountain glaciers), sea levels would rise by around 70 meters (230 feet). That’s enough to flood every coastal city, drown entire nations, and reshape the continents. Vast portions of what we now call land would be submerged.
“If all glaciers and ice caps on Earth were to melt, global sea level would rise approximately 70 meters (230 feet), flooding every coastal city on the planet.”
— U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
“If all glaciers and ice sheets melted, global sea level would rise by more than 195 feet (60 meters).”
— NASA Sea Level Portal
So the scientific reality is this:
The earth contains enough water—right now—to submerge vast areas of land.
And the terrain shows the scars of catastrophic water flow—massive canyons, cliffs, valleys carved by force.
So why is it hard to believe that YHWH once covered the entire earth in water, as He says in His Word?
“The waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered.” — Genesis 7:19, NKJV
“The fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” — Genesis 7:11, NKJV
If we can accept man's projections of sea level rise, we should be able to accept God’s record of worldwide judgment by water.
However that is what science says, and we all know that science is fallible and mans concepts, not all backed by evidence as some imply. I still choose God for my teacher, not man made science. Just saying..
