    Here's an classic article frm the DowJones Newswire thread frm 13/8/9, when Shell were in talks with AOE.

    Notice that the 'Chinese interest' was mentioned in the article & AOE didn't quite know who that was.

    Well now we know that it was Petrochina !!!

    Because the other 2 Chinese majors, Sinopec were busy bidding for the Canadians (AddaxPetroleum for US$7.2b in June '09) & CNOOC were already in bed with BG in May.
