"Most of the people beating down on BID on Hotcopper now, wereactually strong believers a week or so ago and are now in my opinion lurking onthe side lines waiting to swoop up cheap shares" @Titanium8
Maybe. Last I looked there were only a couple of us saying we are out (and me for the time being, waiting to assess future performance). Just some simple math for you here. We know the stock has been tightly held. Both Anthony Du Preeze and JB were substantial shareholders. Now both, for whatever reasons may motivate them, are free to sell their shares without disclosure issues. On consideration, there is a high likelihood that a large volume of shares will flow onto the market in coming days. We can see the start of this new trend from Friday's 3.4 million volume- the largest volume yet traded on a day. And the pressure was down.
Will they both sell? Not sure. But it is a definate new risk. Do they both know the company well? Absolutely. Who will buy the new volume? Possibly "smart money" looking for a new toy.
Therefore, my decision is to adapt to the emergent risk and change my strategy re BID. That is because I hope not to end up like a dinasaur.
People are free to make their own assessment.
