Why would you assume that Rio would be the one responsible for the leak? With the number of analysts, lawyers etc involved in crunching the numbers, these things have a habit of getting out.
Or maybe Arcadium had their own reasons to set the hares running?
Or maybe it was a quiet news week and a couple of journos had to get creative to achieve their required column inches.
Who's to say? Probably know more tomorrow. At the very least would expect to see a market announcement re media speculation.
Shaping up as a very interesting week ahead.
