I have a few investments in US based REE projects and while the US government backs them, they don't hand over large sums of money. In the 2 I own the most that has been raised via the DOD and DOE was 1M and that was for a company who is well established in the mining industry. I do not believe for a second that this company will get much if anything from the US government. GM, Ford and others would also much prefer to sign an off-take agreement with someone who actually knows mining and has a background in something other than banking.
This whole deal seems a bit shady. Until 3 days ago no one had even heard of this company.
