Because this is business. Do you think say Westfield would leave Centro Complexes "Branded" as Centro or would they put up "Westfield" signs? Centro Brisbane will become Westfield Brisbane and so on.

Buyers want the income and the property not the name. IMO Centro will be better placed to rebrand themselves after this anyway.
