The confidentiality obligations under an NDA don't end when discussions do, they'll usually continue for a few years from disclosure or until the information is in the public domain. It's also a very minor step to put in place an NDA, so I would argue that it's likely we would have them in place with a bunch of car and battery manufacturers, and definitely all the majors.

I didn't hear anything that Sam said that would imply VW were out of the picture. In fact given his comments about Germany being very cognisant of the Ukraine situation and O&G dependencies, I'd say they are very much in the picture.
