Any experienced military people might be able to explain this withdrawal , but wouldn't the civilians be evacuated over a planned and appropriate time period? This should have taken place starting months ago? While the foreign military units kept their weapons to protect this withdrawal , then left themselves at the end (with their weapons or destroy them)? You would just need to talk with enough locals to figure out whats going on around that country , why do Governments around the world (NZ Govt came up with the lame excuse all others have used) say they didn't realise the Taliban would move so quickly? They've been there ages and they couldn't figure it out or have an intelligent plan?
