    US will never default
    they can always "create" more money - there is risk there of course of inflation - but not default as you suggest

    the other aspect of your misunderstanding is that relatively little of China's assets are in the US* and a default would hurt the US more than it would China
    in fact most of US's natonal doubt is owed internaly in the US

    *for your educxation - China owns $860billion of US debt or 2.6%
    sizeable , but not enough to kill China ....not that US could or would ever default for the reason explained
