    It's not that far fetched ... the Trump assasination attempt failed so the fallback position would probably be to remove the weakest link.

    I suspect Biden was advised h was now in the crosshairs so should withdraw and lay low using Covid as a red herring until a new nominee is elected or he resigns and makes Kamala POTUS cementing her nomination.
