In my experience the slide into dementia is not linear, it's parabolic and Joe, in my unprofessional eyes, is at the stage where the decline is more marked every year. The election is 6 mths away, that is a long time. Anyone thinking they can pretend Joe will "still" be fine then is living a fantasy.
