Well to be honest I don't have a firm view on that but I think the abortion laws in Australia strike a good balance.
You see I believe it's a difficult choice for women to decide to have an abortion and do not make the decision lightly so the laws in Australia allows them to take time to decide. It's not unheard of that a woman doesn't know she is pregnant at 8-10 weeks so if she can't get an abortion after 12 weeks she would make the harsh choice to have an abortion quickly rather than take a few more weeks to warm to the idea of having a baby and decide not to have an abortion
