CNP is not in the same boat as MFS. It is highly profitable and has good assets. The banks want to keep it going, otherwise they would have pull the plug already.
CNP does not need to repay *ALL* of its short term debts and hence does not need to sell a majority of its assets. All it needs to do is to sell some to bring the debt down to a level that the banks are happy with, then they'll roll over the rest of the short term debts.
