You can't draw such a neat distinction between balance sheet issues and "operational earnings".Asset writedowns can wipe out operating earnings and hammer distributions and dividends.

The main questions isn't whether ALZ will survive after further asset writedowns (as you've piointed out it probably will thanks to Capitaland), the question is whether it will continue to pay distributions
