Westgold has revealed that first blast was March 2, and that the first delivery of Big Bell ore to the mill was in the last week of the March quarter.
"The first bulk stope within the sub-level cave at Big Bell mine was fired late in the quarter with the first ore making it to the mill in the last week of the quarter."
We are more than eight weeks into the June quarter, and there hasn't been a peep about how Big Bell is going.
This is the biggest project at WestGold. All we've been told is that another 5% dilution ($45 million gross proceeds) is needed to shore up CMGP operations, which includes Big Bell. No specifics on what the money will be spent on, nor why additional cash was needed during a period when gold is running ~$2650/oz.
