MrUP – Sometimes (ie over the past few years) we see last minute trades on consecutive days over a week or so. Presumably this is to push up the average sp when share issues are being used to generate cash. For yesterdays action, I suspect your explanation is most likely, although only time will tell. Is it good or bad for the sp? I can't answer this but I agree with C9 (for once) that the most likely outcome is a return to .5 or .6.
