If all they get is a 30-40% premium over the current share price then why sell? The offer would need to be around 80-100% above the current share price to make it worthwhile to AMX. Those who bought at around $3 will still be underwater.
My take is that this management is finding it hard going and now wants out. Cranston's departure is a sign to me that he wants to monetise his holding in AMX and we can expect him to be a seller as the share price appreciates.
Those holding its little sister (CRB) had better look out, because it is not going anywhere.
