I think a TO of GXY by RIO can only mean positive for LPD'sp. How much impact to our SP? I don't know, but has to be very good. It all depends on how the market reacts to a possible association with a monster. I'd prefer that we don't get taken over like Gxy should that speculation eventuates. But I believe Gxy is such an attractive target due to its relatively low mcap relative to its 3 assets (MC,JB,SDV- I feel devt of the 2 assets JB and SDV will take years before these can produce) and to its peers (PLS is now almost $200m higher), plus it has less strings attached, no ex'es or current flings with other companies. The Gxy register seems to be dominated by a few instos, and if the offer is 2x the current SP, it would be compelling to investors and Bacchus may not be able to avert it I'm just guessing. TO price is any price that the acquirer is willing to pay that's why I don't speculate the price, it could be anything (Google how much HP wrote down by overpaying EDS and Autonomy, looks like usd8 billion each, meaning if they avoided that mistake and distributed usd16 billion to all its 330,000 employees from Alaska to Timbuktu, each employee would have received 50k, or those in the 3rd world countries would have all become instant millionaires. Just demonstrates how absurd and stupidly high or low an acquisition price can be. Valuers are like your property valuers when you sell your house. They could pick whatever similar house that sold and guesstimate the one they're valuing which could be very way off.
Now back to LPD, the market might accelerate their valuation of LPD to a more reasonable valuation based on our potential which I believe is as high as $0.6b to $1.6b once Ph1 is totally derisked or producing. Will market value us soon that way? Time will tell. Remember, the market is always wrong even if people say it is always right. It is always right because you get what is paid on the day you sell. But it is always wrong because no one knows for sure what the price would be the next week. If we knew it, we could have put our houses on LPD on 10 October and now can buy 5 houses.
I'd just watch this space closely. I have very little shares in Gxy now, because even if RIO pays $7 for Gxy shares, that's only 1 bagger based on the current price. Compared to 5x I made on Gxy and a similar 7 bags I made on asn.
Lpd is where my money is. I was just fortunate on asn to pick up one 7-figure parcel before the options rose from 1.3c to 10c like LPD did in a space of 6 weeks. Just showing and learning that if we'd find a gem, even a modest investment can change a family's fortune. Best to all holding the platypus. We're in the spotlight for good reason. We have the tech in a hot industry that many other players would
need very soon.
