yeah, it WAS a major blue chip...
but now it will have to firesale its U.S assets it will already be down on because they bought the peak.
they financed this with other peoples money and could be geared at 90%. they are so opaque nobody knows their true level of gearing!
they could well be writing off the entire equity value of the firm and your shares could be worth zero.
