There has been about 715 million shares traded since 25/11, when the takeover was announced. That's about 40% of the free float capital. Almost all of that has been trading by big brokers, some in huge lines. What that means I'm not sure, but most of the big lines have been bought, not sold*, so there is plenty of heavy interest in owning FMS.
*That means trades initiated by buyers going up to the ask, not sellers coming down to the bid.
It is possible that someone is trying to build up a blocking stake, maybe using different brokers.
