Could I ask a noob question, how can you tell whether someone buys into the bid as opposed to selling into the ask? Special software, trading platform, special graph/table provided by broker?

btw, FMS hasn't hit 29c since the TO was announced in 25th Nov, surely a great sign. Also there's a single buy at 28.5 for almost 20M shares, wish i had that kinda money to throw about!!!
