Decisions are made by management , shareholders either agree ( hold) or disagree(sell).

"It would have been better if he had disbursed the cash on hand on the day he joined the company and sold the operations for whatever he could have got. We would have been much better off"
If you beieve this you may as well invest in an index fund!
You have hindsight now ,other than the easy "give me the money back",what would you have done differently.

BTW i agree FIFO is a problem in this country with no short term solution in sight while people like to live close to amenities in the big smoke.
