To risk buying 100k shares ($170,000) for 1 cent profit per share makes absolutely no sense at all. The return is then $1,000 or .01%. That would be absurd, so I don't believe that either. Besides, one can make up to .5% profit on a daily basis on many, many other shares in the market.
