ok the last time Goldman came in an upgraded the stock it was swishing around its 7's, gold fell and its went up big time.  How do I know it,,well I was short and despite seeing gold falling, I was short , held and ,,,,,,wellI  got KILLED.
December 2013, I was short at 7.46, goldman upgraded the stock and from my notes

"GS upgrade the stock, NCM up 10Pc in an hour, f%%% rubbish " gold down

5 days later I took the hit

Anyhooo,, this newswire is significant imo, it shows a solid change by a very big heavyweight investment community, and price target of 17 which is now far higher.  We all know NCM has lagged big time, will be interesting to see if GS has the same affect

(NCM.AU) has been a perennial underperformer. But that may be about to change, according
to Goldman Sachs. After several years marred by output and earnings downgrades, Goldman
Sachs sees improvements on the way for Newcrest, led by new management that has shifted
the miner's focus to predictability over growth. The bank upgrades the company to
buy from neutral and increases its price target to A$17.00 from A$10.10. Newcrest was
recently up 1.1% at A$14.28/share, outperforming the S&P/ASX 200, which was 0.8%
