PS - I shouldn't use the word advice - it is more my opinion which may be wrong.
However all I personally try to do myself after years at this is simply buy only the very best stocks (and that is really the trick isn't it - much easier said than done and needs some experience) and hold on until there is good reason not to - it is working very very well this year already up well over 100% in my entire portfolio since July.
I don't trade at all, but will sell out or take partial profits from time to time.
I think that strategy is aligned with quite a few on this thread including Avagrado and others.
Any stock will be extremely volatile and could drop 20%+ for no good reason. You really profit from taking on the high volatility which is evident in small caps. Selling in and out will do your head in.
