Interesting post woolydog. Especially this part:

Imagine what would happen if they turned around and became bullish over the longer term as China and India keep growing forcing resources up and up. They would have to play catchup in a big way. Of course a world depression will spoil it but somehow I can't see those two growing giants ever having a large and sudden slowdown no matter what happens to the US. Later on yes - they will have their turn but right now I see them where the US was in the early 1900's way before the 29 crash.
