COP sold their Canadian tar sands asset for $13 Billion only 4 months after the sale of SNE to WPL. I believe the SNE sale was only required by COP to dress up their end of year annual report for their bankers. The piddling amount COP got for SNE makes it likely they pushed SNE sale through regardless of the JVA requirements, as they had another more important agenda.
It all makes the apparent delay of the ICC decision all the more intriguing. Cant wait.
