Yeah thats right TI the No1 chip supplier to mobile phones has licensed the Multos operating system thru StepNexus (20% owned by Keycorp) for its major new chip initiative for ID over mobile phones. But there is more to what we are missing. Its like Windows. When Dell or IBM say they are supplying the Windows o/s to all the computers they manufacture or sell then its Microsoft that is the gainer. So have a look at Bell ID and realize that its Multos based cards that they are supplying with there new management software or that when Giesecke & Devrient says that they are going great guns in Canada and are supplying the Bank of Montreal with PayPass on a mastercard credit card then it is actually a card on the Multos o/s supplied by StepNexus. All this creates an environment whereby Keycorp -even if there were no great financial gain in the licencing area- are likely to gain in the consulting and service supply areas.
