''Student apathy, drugs and late night parties may play a part in the decline of grades
    Can't blame teachers for everything''

University students now - are the same people who were school students when Aussie kids were judged to be the worst behaved school students in the world

what did we expect when they got to university??

School students in school - like workers in a workplace, take their respect and behaviour with them when they leave home in the morning

if they are a disrespectful, rude, trouble making rabble - then - that comes from home.

And in the home - who are the responsible people ?- parents, clearly.

So, we have an issue with bad parenting. And I suggest that bad parents - also have a disrespect and bad behaviour themselves --

the problem is ------------------ it's the culture

teachers, university, government cannot adjust behavioural disrespect ----------

government can make things happen to induce cultural change - but,

    1. it takes years to gain traction

    2. right wing wackos immediately say that government shouldn't be interfering in private lives and telling people how to live

so - sorry -------------- this is the Australia we all built. Everyone is complicit.
