big falls in electricity prices

In the last 5 years electricity prices have risen by over 100% in some areas.

The liberal party told Australian people the recent rises were largely due to the fixed price on carbon tax imposed by the labor party.

The labor party said that the impost of the tax would increase electricity prices by around 10% (without offsets) on average.

on the abolition of the tax electricity prices it is reported have fallen 5.2% in June -Sept quarter.

Minister Hunt claims this proves the labor party were wrong.

It looks the opposite to me

Hunt must think we are all totally stupid.

Unless there are more dramatic falls in electricity prices in the coming months that add to more than 10% the liberal party claims that the recent increases (post Carbon tax) in electricity prices were mainly due to the carbon tax will be shown to have been wrong......contrary to Minister Hunts spin
