As I alluded to above new funding was imminent in order to grow at its current rate. Interestingly the cash position at 13m still in September despite such rapid growth suggests to me that the payback period is significantly lower than the maximum of 56 days.
I am not sure of the valuation of Afterpay but this raising combined with the update significantly reduces the risk of Afterpay. The exit revenue for the year is likely be in excess of 10m (maybe 15-20m), given that they implied that recent onboarding would essentially double transactional volume this quarter alone. The list of clients is impressive and the strong capital position will help them expand rapidly and hopefully become a global player. They appear to have viral spread with very low customer acquisition costs. Overall very impressed by the achievements in a very small period of time.
