I don't believe its hogwash whatsoever, despite it not being the best reflection of future value. It's simply a rough guide to indicate the potential a whopping gas reserve can do to the share price.
I've already referred to the other considerations for a discounted cash flow analysis. And that also depends on so many variables, including future gas price, and exchange rate, as well as more relevant project variables such as costs, and rate of production over how many years.
