for anyone who is interested to see what is going on with the demand side...we are currently in an extremely tight market according to asian metals..(please note chinese prices has several tariffs and imports duties on them so are not fully reflective of the prices Orocobre would be getting, but still shows where the market is at)
BEIJING Asian Metal 30 Dec 15 - Lithium carbonate 99.5%min price remained at RMB125,000-130,000t USD19,290-20,062t over the past few days in China, about RMB5,000t USD772t higher than that in ten days ago. Compared with the markup of RMB10,000-20,000t USD1,543-3,086t each week in the first half of December, lithium carbonate markup slows down as most producers do not have materials at hand. However, insiders predict that the price is likely to go up to RMB140,000-150,000t USD21,605-23,148t in January next year.
